Engineering News-Record (ENR), with more than 100 years of experience, offers engineering and construction information and data, as well as analysis, comments and news. Additionally, it reports on the most outstanding design companies, and the main construction companies, as well as projects in the United States and around the world.

To structurize the construction industry, ENR conducts annual surveys of the key segments and classifies the companies involved in general contracting and specialty contracting, such as engineering, architecture and environmental services, among others. The classifications are divided according to the market categories in which they are executed and are based on each company's annual income in the country and abroad.

Since 2013, Vepica have been included in the ENR classifications, obtaining the following positions in its 2018 edition:

# 10 Steel and Non-Ferrous Metal Projects

# 36 Industrial Processes

# 216 International Design Company

# 240 International Contractor

The classifications are carried out according to the construction revenues generated outside the country of origin of each company in 2017. In this way, the position obtained includes prime contracts, shares of joint ventures, subcontracts, design contracts and construction management-at-risk contracts.

Vepica stands out in the energy sector, which includes thermal and hydroelectric plants, waste-to-energy conversion plants, transmission lines, substations, cogeneration plants, etc.; in the oil sector, which includes refineries, petrochemical plants, offshore installations, pipelines, etc.; and in industrial processes, which includes pulp and paper mills, steel mills, non-ferrous metal refineries, pharmaceutical plants, chemical plants, food and other processing plants, etc..

The ranking of the 250 best international contractors, published annually in August, ranks the largest public and private construction contractors in the world.
